Duck Flats Farm
Duck Flats Farm is a 426 acre working farm nestled in the rolling hills of northern Onondaga County, NY on Cross Lake in the eastern Finger Lakes region. Here we raise Finnish Landrace (Finn), Wenslydale sheep, Angora goats and Alpaca.
The Finn sheep are known for their soft wool that is strong but light in weight, so that you have the warmth of the wool without the heavy weight. It is wonderful for all types of garments due to its softness. We sell fleeces and roving from lambs and adult sheep. Handspun and mill spun yard is also available. We are noted for our one-of-a-kind designs and handmade crafts. Sweaters, shawls, baby clothes, doll and teddy bear sweaters, afghans, pillows, saddle blankets and pet lap warmers are just a few of the products made in our Fiber Studio. No two pieces are exactly alike. We feature unique styles and patterns use natural or dyed colors of yarn. We are the inventors of AriaStitch, a unique needlework technique that uses both knitting and crochet in the same piece. Other techniques such as spinning, embroidery and Australian locker hooking are used to create beautiful and unique crafts.
